Cottonwood Creek is located within Nez Perce County, Idaho and is a tributary to the Snake River (shown as number 38 in Figure 1). The watershed encompasses approximately 5,713 acres.Figure 1. Cottonwood Creek Watershed location. Click on image to view larger version.

Wetlands

The USDA Soil Survey for Lewis/Nez Perce counties was used to determine the extent of hydric soils within the watershed. Approximately 440 acres were identified and are illustrated in figure 2 (shown in light blue).
