Rock Creek Stream Gage

UTM: 535785, 5131755

The Rock Creek stream gage was installed in March of 2015 to measure changes in stream and environmental conditions along Rock Creek as it approaches Gifford Reubens road. Unprocessed data, recorded by data logger instruments at 30 minute intervals, are listed as ports and is uploaded monthly. In port 1, 2, and 3 probes measure soil moisture, soil temperature, and soil . Port 1 measures soil conditions at a depth of 4 feet, 7 feet from the stream. Port 2 measures soil conditions at a depth of 1 foot, 5 feet from the stream. Port 3 measures soil conditions at a depth of 3 feet, 3 feet from the stream. Port 4 measures relative humidity and air temperature. Port 5 records stream depth in millimeters, electrical conductivity which is a measure of stream sediment load, and stream temperature. The data will be used to measure the effect of restoration activities above the stream gage along Rock Creek scheduled to begin in fall of 2015.

Tom Beall Stream Gage

UTM: 518636, 5142694

The Tom Beall stream gage was installed in February of 2015 to measure changes in stream and environmental conditions along Tom Beall Creek. Unprocessed data, recorded by data logger instruments at 30 minute intervals, are listed as ports and is uploaded monthly. Port 1 measures relative humidity and air temperature. Port 3 records stream depth in millimeters, electrical conductivity which is a measure of stream sediment load, and stream temperature. Port 5 measures rainfall in millimeters. The data will be used to measure the effect of restoration activities above the stream gage along Tom Beall Creek which began in the fall of 2014.
